Accessible through the forward stateroom or the large hatches in the salon sole, the ingeniously organized engine room features bright lighting, 5'7" headroom, plenty of space to manuever, easy access to service points, and even a built in workbench with tool storage. The President 42's deck seems custom made for Northwest cruising. Wide walk-around side and aft decks provide secure passage on non-skid surfaces protected by high bulwarks and sturdy stainless steel railings. There's a rugged pulpit forward of the electric windlass. Access to docks or dinghy is eased by midship bulwark doors port and starboard and by a transom door leading to the spacious swim platform. Two deck lockers in the platform provide plenty of storage and another conceals a folding swim ladder.

The aft trunk cabin top and adds recreational and relaxing space to the generous flybridge. With a wrap-around venturi providing protection from the wind, skipper and guests are comfortably arrayed on the flybridge on a dual, reversible-position helm seat and two other lounges. A convenient wet bar with storage and wired for an icemaker adds to the party possibities. The helm features full engine instrumentation and an attractive dash for added gear of your choosing.
