Welcome aboard Avalon, a 1986 Present Yachts 46. Everything about this vessel has been meticulously cared for - and it shows. From the new decking topsides to the new fuel tanks in the engine room to the solar panels on the new hardtop, this boat was built in the 80s but can hold her own against boats of today. She is perfect for cruising the great loop - although the radar mast will need to be modified to get under the low bridge outside of Chicago.
Stepping onboard from the port side and walking to the bow you will notice the new deck. The foredeck is very spacious and allows ample room for anchoring or enjoying the scenery.
Walking aft you come to the covered seating area. You will spend endless hours here entertaining and enjoying your time on the water. The spacious seating area with an ice maker will help you welcome visitors onboard. Just aft of this area is the after cockpit with swim ramp, outdoor grill, and washdown.
Stepping forward and up brings you to the massive bridge with ample seating area. The bimini top has been replaced with a hard top with recently replaced isinglass. You also have access to the dinghy and davit system from here.
Stepping below decks you enter the main cabin with beautiful flooring and plenty of light. This is also the fully functional pilot house area with side access doors to the outside decks. Below decks are kept cool with two 16 BTU reverse-cycle air conditioning units.
The galley is down and to port with a stove top, convection oven/microwave and full size refrigerator. The seating area is also here and to the starboard.
Continuing forward is the V-Berth area with two separate single berths. To starboard is the electric head.
Heading aft and down from the main cabin you pass by the washer and dryer units into the owner's stateroom. The queen-sized bed is center-line. A hanging closet, a desk, and plenty of storage allows you to bring plenty of supplies on board. The owner's head is to port with a separate standup shower.
The engine room can be accessed through the main cabin or through the stairs near the galley. Two Cummins engines installed in 2015 will power you through anything. The generator will provide all needed power. This engine room is immaculate with everything clearly labeled with plenty of room to work.
