This boat will not last long!

Recent upgrades -

  • Replacement of all solar panels with new 1,100W system (400W over dinghy and 700W on Bimini, each array is on their own Victron MPPT charge controllers).
  • Replacement of lead-acid batteries with 560 Ahr (12V system) of LFP. This meaningfully improved the balance of the boat by removing weight aft. We added (2) x 230 Ahr batteries for the house and (1) x 100 Ahr battery that doubles as the dinghy trolling motor battery when needed. These LFP batteries are installed in otherwise dead space behind the chart table and really helped balance the boat.
  • Inspected and replaced all suspect wiring and electrical components. Simplified and ordered electrical distribution and ensured all wiring is sized correctly with proper circuit protection.
  • New MPPT solar charge controllers, AC battery charger, BMV-712 battery monitor, and 1,200W inverter system. All Victron "Smart" systems with Bluetooth. The systems are set up to keep the batteries happily working for 10+ years.
  • Installed brand new bilge pumps + hoses in both hulls. This is a very clean system with short hose runs. Much better than the original factory setup. Tested and works great.
  • Installed custom air-conditioning that runs off batteries all night and recharges off solar every day! The dehumidifier, microwave, and a small induction burner work off the system just fine too (one at a time).
  • Installed fans, several outlets, etc. to benefit from updated AC systems.
  • Updated fresh-water system, new pump, expansion tank, etc.
  • Upgraded all lighting to LED.
  • Installed grill on aft rail.
  • Patched all unnecessary holes from previous owners, re-bedded any leaking hardware.
  • Installed insulation on the inside of the overhead cabin windows / portlights. This is removable, but made a significant difference to heat gain.
  • Setup vented LPG system with (2) 20lb tanks. We get about 2 months out of each tank.

  • Windrush comes with a Spectra water maker, new in 2019. It was winterized when we bought it and haven’t used it since we didn’t travel away from free American water.
  • The boat has a good condition mainsail with full battens, stack pack, lazy jacks.
  • The previous owner upgraded to twin Honda 15hp engines in ~2019. 450 hours each. Plenty of life left. Had 250 hours when we got the boat in 2022 and we changed the oil every 50 hours.
  • The boat has an autopilot, ~33lb Manson supreme anchor, ~85ft chain + rode on good electric windlass with controls at helm, radar, and everything works as it should except as noted below.
  • Include Honda EU2000 Genset
  • New headsail
