The Pacific Seacraft 34 is one of the finest cruising boats ever built under 40'. They are known to offer good performance and a sea-kindly motion that won't tire the crew after a long passage. The long cruising fin keel, skeg-hung rudder, and protected prop are ideal for cruising, especially in places like the Maine Coast. The 34 is a good option for a cruising couple preferring a sea-worthy, well-built cruiser, without the expense and hassle of a larger boat.
Kairos will need a good cleaning, some new running rigging and some attention to the brightwork. The interior presents well, and the teak joinery & cabin sole are in good condition. This boat will clean up nicely and can easily be made ready for the upcoming season.
NOTE: Kairos has been donated to a sailing non-profit and is available to purchase through a term charter arrangement.
Kairos features a beautifully crafted teak interior that feels just right. The efficient use of space provides all the comfort you'd need in a sea-going layout while also providing ample storage for long passages. The layout features a large V-berth forward, a head aft to port & a hanging locker across to starboard. Continuing aft is the Main Saloon with port and starboard settees that form excellent sea berths, and a centerline drop-leaf dining table. Storage space and shelving is available outboard and beneath the settees. The Main Saloon features several opening ports, an oil lamp, and a ship's clock & barometer. Aft to port is the U-shaped galley, convenient to the companionway, and across to starboard is a full-sized nav desk followed aft by a quarterberth. Cabin heat is provided by an Espar Diesel heater. Light & ventilation are provided by (2) hatches and (10) opening ports.
