She's a real looker
The Ocean Yacht 38 Super Sport was one of Ocean's most popular, best selling model, the 38 is a good looking boat with combination of speed and agility in open waters. If your dream is the Great Loop, with these efficient Caterpillar 3208TA diesel engine, you would have an economical trip. She features a total renovation of her interior, featuring new flexsteel section that opens to a full sized bed, new wallpaper throughout, new carpet, head converted to a Dometic MasterFlush household sized, freshwater toilet. Forward berth feature a walk around bunk, ample storage, new carpet and wallpaper.
Bottom was powered blasted, blisters repaired, Awlgrip Awlfair fairing compound, epoxy primer and 2 coats of Interlux Boatkote in November 2023 with at least another 2 years left. At the same, 4 Lumitec SeaBlaze X2 underwater lights were installed.
Starboard engine had a complete top end rebuild in April 2022, heads milled, new valve guides, springs, valves. At same time, head exchanger, after cooler, exhaust manifolds, elbow and riser were ultra-sonic cleaned, pressure checked, and reassembled. New coolant pump installed (have spare pump onboard). Port motor has new starter. Both motors run strong, pushing her to a factory spec of a 26 knot cruise, with a 30 knots WOT.
