Fiberglass/Reinforced
The O'Day 37 is a unique Center Cockpit sloop with moderate displacement, an encapsulated fin keel, skeg protected rudder, and a keel stepped mast head rig. Designed as a coastal cruiser, many have been cruised to far away places. The 37 performs well on all points of sail.
There are two private staterooms each with a private head compartment and a double berth. The aft cabin is separated from the rest of the boat for complete privacy. The toilets have been upgraded to marine fresh water macerating units, all plumbing hoses and bilge hoses have been recently replaced. The interior salon and vee berth cushions are two years old.
There have been numerous mechanical upgrades. The diesel engine is a 1995 Universal 4 cylinder 32hp motor with 1,015 hours. All engine hoses have been replaced, the exhaust canister was replaced, and an updated engine instrument panel installed in the cockpit for better instrument visibility underway. The bottom was painted in July 2024, and a new PSS dripless shaft seal was installed.
The Ullman Mainsail is full battened with a stack pack that includes lazy jacks. A Tides sail track makes quick work of raising the mainsail. There is a Ullman 140 genoa on a Harken Furler forward. The boat comes with a symmetrical spinnaker and a pole. In the cockpit there are 5 self tailing winches for sail handling and a cockpit dodger with a cockpit awning to keep you dry and out of the sun if needed.
Navigational equipment includes a new Simrad multifunction chart plotter, a new Simrad radar, 2 year old Standard Horizon VHF with GPS, an autopilot, depth, speed, and windspeed/direction.
