To starboard in the salon is an L-shaped settee/dinette that comfortably accommodates four guests. To port, and running the entire length of the salon and across the aft bulkhead, is the galley. Formica countertops and backsplash sit atop spacious teak cabinets with multiple lockers and drawers. A surface-mounted stainless steel sink, under-counter single-door refrigerator, front opening freezer, Force-10 two-burner propane stove with oven, and microwave oven will please the most demanding cook.

Pilothouse
Elevated three steps above the salon, the Raised Pilothouse is surrounded by large windows that provide superior sight lines in all directions for the captain and navigator. Sliding doors on either side lead to the side decks and foredeck for anchoring and docking. Midship cleats are located atop the gunnels adjacent to the pilothouse doors making single-handed docking convenient and easy.
The helm is to starboard and houses ship's controls, tank monitoring, navigation electronics and 12VDC and 125VAC electrical distribution panels. Double-wide adjustable helm seating is provided on both sides allowing guests to join the captain and navigator on the bridge. Slide the seat forward and drop down the footrest for full comfort. Two large hatches in the pilothouse sole provide unrestricted access to the engine room.

BLUE COMET is constructed on Nordic Tug's second-generation semi-displacement hull which extends the hull beneath the swim platform thereby increasing waterline length for improved performance and efficiency. The added hull length also moves the center-of-gravity forward resulting in reduced bow rise when running above displacement speed.
A generous cockpit with transom door makes boarding safe and easy. A stainless steel ladder leads to the deck atop the salon which is well-suited for entertaining, enjoying the sun, or watching the action in port or at anchor.
