Rigging and Sails

The Nonsuch 33 utilizes a simple, unstayed, single-mast cat rig, positioned forward in the bow of the boat. This design emphasizes ease of handling and less complicated sailing compared to boats with multiple sails.   The rig features an freestanding, tapered aluminum mast that doesn't rely on standing rigging for support. The sail is hoisted inside a wishbone boom, which is sheeted to the transom.  this wishbone boom acts like a vang, controlling the sail's foot and leech tension.

  • Loose footed mainsail, contained within lazy jacks for easier reefing.
  • 2022 Doyle sail cover
  • Main halyard ELECTRIC winch
  • Tri color mast head light

  • External lead fin keel with stainless 5'4" bolts for placements
