The Monk 36 is a design that has stood the test of time for ICW or Great Loop cruising and offers a great 2 stateroom, 2 head layout sized just right for a cruising couple to spend extended time on. Within the last three years:
1. A new salon HVAC was installed with a new unit. The boat has two HVAC units for air-conditioning and heating.
2. The wind deflectors on the fly bridge were replaced.
3. A new Westerbeke 8kw generator was installed. It has less than 25 hours.
4. Most of the boats electrical systems have been replaced.
5. The Purisan sanitation system has been upgraded
6. A new inverter was installed.
7. All the bright work on the flying bridge and upper decks has been updated and is in excellent condition.
8. All the batteries have been replaced (2021)
9. Bottom paint and boot stripe we're done.
10.A new refrigerator and freezer were installed.
11. A new windlass was installed.
12. The 1000 hour Cummins diesel service was performed at a cost of $5900.. This included changing oil and all oil and diesel filters, all hoses and clamps, descaling of the heat exchanger, changing of the transmission oil, new transmission oil cooler, changing the antifreeze, a new air filter, changing the raw water impeller, heat exchanger and repair, and valve adjustmens. The engine belt was replaced and there was also replacement of the shaft seal connection with new fittings. These are just some of the services that was done on the Cummins Engine by a certified Cummins mechanic.
13. All but the front Windows have been re-sealed
14. All the instruments and radios as well as the chart plotter /GPS on the flybridge have been replaced and are essentially brand new. All the instruments ,radios GPS and other instruments in the main cabin have been replaced and are brand new. There is a new radar that is displayed on the flybridge GPS /chart plotter. There is a new Trac- vision unit.
