‘Grace’ – 1998 Monk Trawler

 

Description

Monk 36 Classic aft cabin fiberglass trawler. The popularity of the Monk stems from her overall design and the execution by the dedicated craftsman in Nova Scotia. Designed by renowned naval architect Ed Monk. She features a walk around centerline queen berth in the master aft cabin. The aft head features a separate stand - up shower stall. On the exterior, the unobstructed flybridge provides a seating and entertainment area.

Accommodations: For 4-5 in a very attractive varnished teak interior.

Engine continuously maintained, annual oil changes (Rotella T 15W40), fuel filters changed often, raw water impeller changed annually. Engine/shaft alignment redone August 2023. Zincs replaced Annually.

Fuel Filters: Dual Racor water separator w/gauge, one engine filter as well. Engine room fully lighted with LED lights

Exhaust:

Fiberglass, marine exhaust hose, double clamped.

Hydraulic, Capilano 1250V, dual station, .

Batteries:

(6) 6v golf cart house batteries (2023); 8D starter battery (2019); generator battery 

Electrical:

All vessel lighting converted to LED; Balmar XT, 170 amp alternator with temperature sensor Balmar SG-200 Battery Monitor system; Balmar Digital Duo Charge. Monitors and manages charging of house, starter and generator batteries

(3) Solar Flex 100 watt solar panels mounted on roof of flybridge enclosure; Solar flex 30 amp controller (1) size 24 battery-Generator.

All major DC wiring including to: bow thruster, windlass, engine and flybridge electronics replaced and upgraded (2020). Independent flybridge circuit and breaker panel

Northern Lights 6KW diesel generator M679L3 with sound shield enclosure (680 hours).

Racor water separator filter.

Generator continuously maintained; annual oil changes (Rotella T 15W40), fuel filters changed annually, raw water pump impellor changed annually, heat exchanger serviced 2023; raw water pump rebuilt 2023.

Located in main cabin stairway to forward cabin.
