 Designed for comfortable coastal cruising, the Mainship 34 Trawler combines a salty profile with sturdy construction and a practical single-stateroom interior. Many will see the 34 as the ideal boat for the cruising couple, easily handled in tight quarters, easy to
maintain, and reasonably easy on the wallet. Built on a semi displacement hull with a full keel, the galley-down layout of the Mainship 34 results in a notably spacious salon. A serving counter (with two stools) overlooks the galley, and a convertible sleeper sofa is available to accommodate overnight guests. The U-shaped galley has all the amenities required for preparing meals including generous storage and Corian counters. Forward, the stateroom has a centerline double berth and space for an optional TV, and the double-entry head compartment includes a separate stall shower. Note that a lower helm was optional. On deck, a flybridge overhang shelters the Mainship's wide walkways. Note that the engine room access hatch beneath the flybridge stairway is a tight fit. A single 240hp Yanmar diesel will cruise efficiently at 8 knots (12-13 knots top). Twin 315hp Yanmar diesels reach 16-18 knots top.

Mainship engineers and designers have utilized every available space in the 34 to offer a centerline queen berth master stateroom, full head with stall shower and a salon large enough to entertain in. The galley includes a two-burner range, microwave oven, coffee maker and dual-voltage refrigerator and freezer. Countertops are genuine Corian and all hardware and fixtures are first-class. The covered aft deck includes molded steps to the bridge for safe and easy access. The upper helm station carries full instrumentation, and there is plenty of room for electronics as well. An optional lower station is available as well. The proven hull design is easily driven by the standard single diesel or by twins. A full sand shoe protects the single screw model, while twin screws are recessed into efficient tunnels for shallow water operation.
