A popular design thanks to her raised bridge deck and comfortable accommodations. The Luhrs 340 Sportfisherman shares the same hull as the old Silverton 34 Convertible (1978-88), a proven modified-V with generous flare at the bow, plenty of beam, and moderate transom deadrise. She was marketed as a fully equipped fishing boat complete with marlin tower, fish boxes, salt and freshwater wash downs, and recessed rod storage in the cabin, all standard. The Luhrs 340 has a large bi-level cockpit (the bridge deck is raised just two feet from the cockpit sole) resulting in good helm visibility and adequate working space in the engine compartment.

A raised bridgedeck design with great helm visability with a starboard side offset companionway, that steps down into a spacious cabin with a convertible dinette to port with settee to starboard. The galley is positioned to starboard and the head directly across to port. The master cabin is located at the forepeak. Below deck accommodations offer comfort for 4-6 persons. Reverse cycle heat/ac throughout cabin allow comfort for the owner and guests. This vessel is well suited for offshore blue water excursions but also a comfortable weekend getaway.
