She is complete with all the necessary items for comfortable cruising (bow thruster, galley, head, V berths, and safety equipment)
This ARUNDEL 27 is the 9th in a series of 10 highly successful picnic boats designed by Steve Dalzell and built by the Landing School in Kennebunkport, Maine.
The cockpit features two captain's seats forward and a large athwart bench for passenger seating. Has very good protection with the full windscreen, cockpit coamings, and a bimini top. Steering, engine controls, electronics and navigation instruments are mounted in a helm console built into the starboard aft bulkhead and coach roof. The cockpit sole is cored fiberglass and drains through the transom.
She cruises up to 32 knots, is highly fuel efficient, and shallow draft. The cabin features a small galley, enclosed head and a comfortable V-berth for afternoon naps or the occasional overnight. Power is provided by a fuel-efficient, quiet, freshwater-cooled Volvo 225 HP diesel with the lowest emissions in the industry. Construction is cold-molded epoxy composite, offering superior strength, performance, and longevity.
The interior has a forward V-berth with a fully enclosed head to starboard and a small galley with pressurized water to port. Interior finish is of the highest yacht standard in the Herreshoff-style with varnished mahogany trim and drawers, and teak/holly veneered cabin sole. The cabin is well-lit via a large overhead hatch, four screened port lights in the cabin sides, and well-placed electric lighting. Much of the boat's interior furniture, which is constructed from solid timber and marine plywood, is designed to contribute to the vessel's overall structural strength and integrity. Access to the forward cabin from the cockpit is via a lifting hatch and bi-fold, paneled doors hung on cast stainless steel hinges.
Engine
Power is provided by a Volvo D4 225 diesel driving a duo-prop outdrive. Volvo is the world's top innovator in drive technology, and this durable, impact-resistant engine is remarkably fuel-efficient and quiet. A 14½ -inch draft ensures access to beaches and shallow coves and inlets for gunk holing and picnics.
