The Kelly Peterson 46 was voted 'One of the ten best world cruising boats" ever
designed. The venerable yacht designer, Doug Peterson, collaborated with Jack Kelly
to design the perfect cruising boat and the KP44 was born. Two hundred KP 44s later,
the hull was extended and no more than 30 Kelly Peterson 46s were built using the same
quality yard, Queen Long Marine Company, LTD. Make no mistake, this is not the
same boat as the Formosa line of boats that reportedly "pirated" the design but not the
quality specifications that the Queen Long Marine Company manufactured boats adhered
to.
