The interior of Kahuna features a modern aesthetic, highlighted by light wood finishes and generous use of white overhead and hull panels, all tastefully contrasted by espresso-colored upholstery. Large hull and cabin side windows flood the interior with natural light. Curtains adorn the main salon windows, and screens/blinds are integrated into the hatches.
Forward, the master stateroom includes a spacious V-berth flanked by hull-side windows with sliding shades. A large overhead hatch adds even more natural light. A shelf runs along the hull above the berth, while additional storage is provided aft in a combination of lockers—both with shelving and hanging space—on port and starboard for organization. A desk with chair faces aft on the forward bulkhead.
The salon offers a U-shaped dinette to starboard and a lengthy, straight settee to port. The table features a folding leaf and an integrated bottle locker in the base. The table also drops down to convert the starboard settee into another berth or large lounge. Storage is available below the settees and in lockers above. At-seated eye-level hull windows, large cabin portlights, and overhead hatches make this space exceptionally bright and open.
Aft to port, the nav station includes a versatile table usable from either a forward or aft-facing position. The tabletop lifts for storage, and nearby are the electrical distribution panel, battery and tank monitors, stereo, and VHF radio.
To starboard, the L-shaped galley is practical and well-equipped. It includes wood fiddles, a smoked acrylic backsplash, and solid-surface countertops. The double stainless-steel sink has removable inserts to expand counter space. Storage is generous, with drawers below the counter, and lockers overhead. A trash bin is housed in the cabinet under the sink. The large top-opening refrigerator features plenty of space and separate freezer compartment, and aft is a two-burner Eno stove with oven.
The aft stateroom is bright and inviting, with a wide quarterberth suitable for two. It’s illuminated by a cockpit portlight, hull-side window, and two overhead hatches. Forward and outboard are both a hanging locker and shelving storage.
Located to port near the companionway, the large head includes a forward sink and counter, a mirror on the forward bulkhead, and an acrylic door separating the shower area when in use. The head is positioned aft in the compartment.
A door in the aft bulkhead of the head leads to an extremely large storage locker, featuring shelves and removable storage bins along the hull.
