JOY is a beautiful Downeast yacht with a Jarvis Newman 36 hull that was finished by the Easom Boatworks of Sausalito, CA, . She has the classic downeast layout of forward cabin with V-berths, head w/shower to stbd with the large galley opposite. Steps lead up to the salon with helm station to stbd and navigator's seat to port. There are settees that convert to berths on each side with a teak settee and dining table to port. The generous size cockpit provides abundant outside space. JOY has benefited from conscientious ownership and several upgrades some of which include a full-width transom seat, cockpit awing, remote control anchor windlass, head and holding tank, stove, Isotherm drawer stainless refrigerator/freezer, electronics and more.

Solid fiberglass hull (10 layers of fiberglass plus reinforcing) built by Jarvis Newman Inc. of Southwest Harbor, Maine. Molded-in quarter guards, skeg, and deck shelf. JOY was completed by Easom Boatworks in Sausalito, CA for an experienced yachtsman. Bay Area legend Hank Easom, designed the superstructure and layout. Very high quality woodwork went into the construction of this vessel. Solid teak decks, cockpit sole, shelter, and cabin sole. Teak exterior trim is all finished with varnish.
