The J/Boats legacy of performance cruiser / racers is superbly highlighted in J/47 Tenacious.
The J/47 was developed out of the J/44 and then became the J/46 with an additional modification to the transom. The J/47 is the highest performer of all three models and is a manageable fast cruiser and a fully crewed "rocket ship".
A modified Mars Metal bulb keel was designed and cast in 2005 (7'4" draft reduced from original deisgned 8'10") with ballast of 9,680 lbs and displacement of 22,000 lbs means 44% ballast / displacement.
Around the Bay? Offshore? Around the World?
Fast, capable, comfortable.
As a devlopement of the popular J/44, the J/47 was created to improve performance while maintanining the comfortable interior which is perfect for family cruising or full-on crewed racing. J/Boats collaboration with TPI Composites built Tenacious with beautiful engineered teak interior for weight savings.
