The J35 was first introduced in 1983 and it is "no exaggeration that new owners of varying experience and ability stepped aboard, raised the sails and began winning races". With its light weight and long sailing length, uncomplicated rig, and sensible deck layout, the J/35 has a responsive yet forgiving nature over a wide range of conditions. GREAT SCOT a 1984 YANMAR 3GMD 20 hp and has always been professionally maintained. She is outfitted with a full set of sail inventory including 2 mainsails, 2 genoas, and a number of racing sails (inventory available). She is equipped with a VHF, a compass, NEXUS NX2 autopilot/ speed/wind meter, and a Raymarine autopilot, and a Garmin chartplotter/GPS.
Down below, her interior is spacious and warm, with a teak and holly sole, and 6'3" headroom, includes sleeping for 6, between the double forepeak berth, port and starboard settees, and two large quarter berths. A bi-fold teak table stows against the bulkhead when not in use. The Galley is compact with a stainless steel sink, 1 burner KENYON portable gas range, an ice box, and storage. There is a private head with a shower.
