The J/133 is renowned for combining exceptional stability for shorthanded cruising with race-winning speed under ORR, IRC, and PHRF. Designed for sailors who demand both performance and practicality, she delivers durability for offshore passages alongside a powerful sail plan ideal for competitive summer racing along the East Coast.

Balancing the best qualities of J Boats, the J/133 offers enhanced performance ratios with a sail plan that remains easy to manage, even with a reduced crew. The result is a yacht that makes going fast both accessible and enjoyable. Below deck, she features a classic, sea-going J interior-comfortable, functional, and perfectly suited for extended cruising or overnight stays.

Under sail, the J/133 is responsive and exhilarating. Whether carving efficiently upwind in 12 knots or surfing confidently under a double-reefed main in a squall, she maintains precise, fingertip control. Her long waterline and narrow beam ensure excellent tracking through waves with minimal helm input, delivering both speed and confidence in a wide range of conditions.

"Matador" was built in France by J/Composites and has been expertly set up for offshore racing by her last two owners. She has successfully completed multiple Bermuda races and is fully equipped for continued offshore competition or passagemaking.
