NEW LISTING!
This J/105 was part of the Nantucket Community Sailing program starting in 2006. Prima was used mostly for recreational sailing in the youth sailing programs as well as some local regattas including Nantucket Race Week. She is in nice condition, being well cared for and maintained for club use, and is a shoal draft version, so would make a great daysailer or overnighter.

Pros
Performance-Oriented Design: The J/105 features a sleek hull and a powerful sail plan, offering excellent speed and handling, especially in upwind and reaching conditions.
One-Design Racing: As a one-design class, the J/105 fosters competitive and fair racing, with an active international fleet and strong class association support.
Trailerable Size: At just over 34 feet, the J/105 is relatively easy to trailer and launch, making it accessible for a wide range of sailors.
Spacious Cockpit: The cockpit layout is designed for efficient crew work during races, with ample room for crew members and easy access to controls.
Comfort for Cruising: Despite its racing pedigree, the J/105 offers a functional interior suitable for weekend cruising, including berths, a simple galley, and a head.
Cons
Limited Interior Space: While functional, the interior accommodations are basic and compact compared to cruisers of similar length, which may be a drawback for extended cruising.
Performance Requires Crew: To get the most out of the boat, especially in racing scenarios, a skilled and coordinated crew is necessary.
Fixed Keel: The fixed keel limits access to shallow waters and may complicate trailering in some areas.
Maintenance Costs: As a high-performance boat with specialized rigging and equipment, upkeep and maintenance can be more demanding and costly than on more basic sailboats.
