Entering the Island Packet 35, one is immediately impressed with the spacious and bright feeling below. Beautiful cabinetry and joiner-work in select teak provide a warm, functional cruising interior that instills pride. The cabin sole and all interior varnish aboard. Eue De Vie is in impeccable condition and has to be seen to be appreciated. There is an enormous amount of storage throughout.
The forward stateroom offers a large, comfortable V-berth with storage drawers below. The forward cabin provides plenty of ventilation in the form of a large overhead hatch and two opening ports.
The head is located just aft of the forward stateroom to port. It offers a large wrap-around counter, lots of cabinets, a shower with a contoured seat and curtain, and drains that work heeled in either direction. In addition, there is private access from either the salon or the forward cabin.
The main salon features a bulkhead-mounted table that easily drops down to accommodate dining. In the dropped position, the table reveals additional shelving ideal for those favorite books, cards, or libations. When the table is stowed, the salon maintains a very spacious and uncluttered feel. There is terrific storage beneath both settees.
The NAV table shares the aft end of the port settee for the navigator’s seat and has ample room for bound chart kits or folded admiralty charts. The electrical control panel is housed in a built-in cabinet over the NAV table, with the stereo, and VHF Radio located in a panel to the right.
The Galley is opposite the nav station to starboard and incorporates molded non-skid to increase safety and durability in this high-traffic area. The well-insulated icebox has interior shelves, a direct-overboard electric drain pump, and ample volume for holding ice and provisions. Numerous drawers, Formica-lined cabinets and lockers, and built-in dish and cutlery storage provide ample room for stores and utensils. In addition, the galley features a fold-up counter extension, deep polished stainless steel sinks, a safety-type LPG range with oven complete with guardrail and harness attachments.

The Biggest Pros and Cons
The 1994 Island Packet 35 is a well-regarded cruising sailboat known for its solid construction and comfortable accommodations. Here are some of the key pros and cons:
Pros
Sturdy Construction: Built with a heavy displacement and solid fiberglass hull, the Island Packet 35 offers excellent durability and offshore capability.
Comfortable Interior: The layout is spacious and thoughtfully designed, providing ample storage, a full galley, and comfortable sleeping quarters for extended cruising.
Easy Handling: Equipped with a cutter rig and a balanced sail plan, it is manageable for short-handed sailing and offers good performance in a variety of conditions.

Good Resale Value: Island Packet boats have a reputation for quality, often maintaining strong market value over time.
Cons
Heavier Displacement: The solid build contributes to a heavier boat, which can result in slower speeds compared to lighter, performance-oriented sailboats.
Draft Limitations: With a moderate draft, it may not access very shallow waters as easily as some other cruisers.
Older Systems: Being a 1994 model, some onboard systems and equipment may require updating or maintenance to meet modern standards.
