Accommodations

The Island Packet 35 is known for exceptionable liveability and very large storage areas located underneath and behind settees. There are also three separate hanging lockers providing additional storage. V-Berth is forward with a large head next aft to port joined by a spacious separate shower (unusual in a yacht of this size). The main saloon has a bulk head mounted table with seating up to six along with storage behind it and the opposite settee. The port settee pulls out to make a double berth and also functions as the seat for the large navigation station. Cushions re-upholstered in salon (not original). The galley is to starboard of the companionway, and is one of the nicest ever designed for a yacht of this size. It features a front loading Isotherm dual voltage (12VDC and 110VAC) front loading fridge/freezer under a conduction stove top.  Next to it is the large capacity top loading fridge w/brand new Isotherm evaporator (12VDC).  Hot and Cold pressurized water w/double stainless steel sinks and great storage. The aft cabin is to the port of the companionway and has a hanging locker, cubbies for storage, opening ports and an opening overhead hatch. The IP35 has excellent ventilation with eleven opening ports and five opening hatches along with well designed storage.  Dometic 16K but Marine AC (2019) with supply vents throughout.

Pros

Sturdy Build: The Island Packet 35 features a robust fiberglass hull with a full keel and skeg-hung rudder, providing excellent durability and directional stability.

Comfortable Interior: Designed with cruising in mind, it offers spacious and well-appointed living quarters, including a roomy salon, ample storage, and a practical galley.

Seaworthy Design: Its heavy displacement and moderate sail plan make it well-suited for offshore passages, offering a stable and comfortable ride even in challenging conditions.

Easy Handling: The boat’s layout and rigging are designed for manageable sail handling, making it a good choice for short-handed crews.

Good Resale Value: Island Packet yachts have a strong reputation, often retaining value well over time.

Cons

Heavier Displacement: While the solid build adds to safety and comfort, the heavier weight can result in slower speeds compared to lighter, more performance-oriented boats.
