The Island Packet 44 is a well-founded, blue water cruiser built by Island Packet Yachts and designed by the venerable Bob Johnson. The production run on this design lasted from 1991 until 1996; 35 hulls were built and delivered to owners during this time. The production materials include a solid laminate hull utilizing vinyl ester resins, a balsa core deck and a fully encapsulated lead keel.
