The Island Hopper 30 began production 3 ½ decades ago to fit the demands of those looking for a smaller working class vessel that offered the dependability, structural strength, and the ease of maintenance similar to that of it's larger commercial sister ships. Built on the foundation of a solid fiberglass hand laid hull with no coring and glassed longitudinal stringers, the Island Hopper has withstood the test of time in the open seas that have proven it to be one of the most reputable vessel's in it's class.
The design concept of the Island Hopper 30 was to produce an affordable offshore-worthy vessel that could quickly plane, achieve an economical cruise speed, and offer it's captain and crew a stable and comfortable ride. Her modified V-hull with sharp forward entry can handle most sea conditions, while her 3 degree deadrise aft and twelve foot beam offers extreme stability at both cruise and troll speeds, or at rest. Her Carolina bow flare and extra wide chines provide a dry ride, while the self bailing cockpit can handle any water intake that Mother Nature challenges her with. The 26" draft offers the versatility to inshore navigation as well.
Multiple cockpit configurations have been offered by Island Hopper, although Super Mario is unique with her broad center console, walk-around sailfish tower, and forward cuddy cabin. The spacious aft cockpit sports an above-deck live well and fish box.
True to it's design, the Island Hopper 30 has been proven through the test of time and
continues to prevail in a market over run with makes and models attempting to achieve similar results.
