SEASCAPE is an early model Hylas 46, I had the pleasure of selling once before. The current owners have a maintenance log starting from before they bought her and continuing to date. A period spanning 10 years. She has been sailed and lived aboard for the last 5 years. She has been well cared for and well upgraded during this time frame, and she is truly ready to go for her next buyers. After 5 years aboard the current owner are making her available to new buyers so they can enjoy her as they have.
SEASCAPE has a bow thruster, generator, AC, electric primary winches, in mast furling with newly rebuilt motor, water maker, new AGM Lifeline batteries, standing rigging replaced in 2014 and recently new aluminum bottom dinghy and OB. She is well equipped and ready to go.
Seascape has a two stateroom interior layout that provides privacy for both her owners and guests. Her aft master suite includes a centerline queen, vanity, and a large hanging closet with ample storage. The master head, to port, includes a stall shower forward of the head. This Hylas 46 is a double pass-through design which offers a private aft owner's cabin with en-suite head. The passageway galley is positioned aft of the salon on the starboard side and includes top and front loading refrigerator and freezer as well as plenty of cupboard space.
The spacious salon is amidships taking advantage of the beam. She features a long settee to starboard, and a large "U" shaped settee with dinette to port which converts to a sleeping berth with filler cushions. There are two cabinets and a shelf outboard of each settee and spacious storage underneath and behind the backrests.
The guest cabin forward includes a double Pullman berth and private head with shower. This cabin is very bright and well ventilated due to the large opening hatch, stainless steel opening ports and dorade vents.
Cabin soles throughout the interior are teak and holly, finished with high gloss varnish. Bulkheads and furniture are faced with teak veneers in satin finish with extensive, finely fitted teak trim. Cabinet doors have teak louvers with varnish finish. Headliners throughout the vessel are of padded vinyl with teak trim. In the slightly raised salon, facing forward there are two fixed ports that allow more natural light into the cabin.

Ventilation is provided through opening port lights along the cabin trunk as well as an overhead hatch, two dorade vents.

The hull of the Hylas 46 is completely hand laid solid fiberglass with 8 longitudinal stringers tied to each frame and bulkhead providing an unusually strong seamless monolithic structure in excess of A.B.S. standards. The keel is externally bolted lead using 12 solid stainless steel 1 3/8" bolts with backing plates. The distance between the rudder and keel is measured by design to provide excellent directional stability and balance. The semi-skegged rudder provides for a solid combination of strength, protection and performance. The bottom of the rudder is 6" higher than the low point of the keel providing protection for the rudder in the event of a grounding. Hylas built these boats with 2 epoxy barrier coats to avoid blistering.
The deck is fiberglass sandwich construction with balsa core. Solid GRP fiberglass in all areas of deck for deck fittings and stress areas. The deck is bonded to the hull with 3M 5200 epoxy and thru bolted every 5" with backing plates. Molded contrasting beige nonskid.
