A clean boat well maintained and well equipped. Comfortable interior and spacious transom with walk-through.
Cockpit and Transom
Trinity's cockpit offers a large, congenial U-shaped cockpit that works for both sailing and socializing. Plenty of seats, including two more "princess" seats on the aft railings.
A set of full enclosure canvas panels can be used in various combinations that range from fresh air open to fully protected from the elements.
The transom opens up to an easy walk-through to the transom with integral telescoping swim ladder and sturdy handholds. Two lazarettes on the transom provide seating as well as stowage for water toys and other equipment on starboard, with the vented propane locker that is big enough for two tanks, located on port. The hot/cold shower is close by, naturally.
The helm pedestal is integral with a center console that includes folding table leaves on both sides and integral drink holders with a solid handhold on the forward side.
Instrument mounting, engine controls and navigation chart plotter mounting are also there, right handy the helm.
The overhead arch, a Hunter trademark, keeps the mainsheet and traveler out of the way whilst also providing end-boom sheet for good mainsail control Stereo speakers and courtesy lights are also found on the arch.
A pair of cockpit lazarettes at the aft end provides ready access to equipment below as well as storage space. More storage space under the starboard seat provides the perfect space for the cockpit cushions.

The Biggest Pros and Cons
The 1998 Hunter 34 is a popular mid-sized cruiser known for its blend of comfort, performance, and ease of handling. Here are some of the key pros and cons of this model:
Pros
Spacious Interior: The Hunter 34 offers a roomy cabin with comfortable sleeping accommodations, a well-equipped galley, and ample storage, making it ideal for extended cruising or weekend trips.
Innovative Design: Featuring Hunter’s signature B&R rig, the boat boasts a fractional sloop rig that simplifies sail handling and improves performance without the need for a backstay.
Good Performance: The boat provides solid sailing performance, especially in moderate winds, with a balanced helm and responsive handling.
Ease of Handling: The design facilitates single or short-handed sailing, with all lines leading back to the cockpit for convenience and safety.
Affordable Maintenance: Compared to larger yachts, the Hunter 34 has reasonable maintenance costs and is often praised for its durability and build quality.
Cons
Heavy Displacement: The boat’s relatively heavy displacement can reduce speed, particularly in light wind conditions, making it less competitive for racing enthusiasts.
Limited Upwind Performance: While stable, the B&R rig and hull design may not point as high into the wind as some other designs, which can be a drawback for sailors seeking optimal upwind efficiency.
Interior Layout: Some sailors find the interior layout less traditional, with certain design choices that may not suit everyone’s taste or needs.
Deck Hardware Quality: Some owners have noted that the original deck hardware may require upgrades or replacements over time to maintain reliability.
Engine Access: Engine access can be somewhat limited, making maintenance tasks more challenging compared to other models.
