EXCEPTIONAL ! ! The cosmetics of this Fresh Water Hunter 23 is much better than 95% of the Hunter 23's we see and sell regularly. Just look at the photos and you will see a Shinny boat with gloss on the hull, the deck and the cockpit. Really nice. Given the cosmetics and general condition this Hunter 23 looks to be five years old - - - maybe 7 years to 10 years old at the most ! ! EXCEPTIONAL ! !
Next look at the bottom paint. It looks like there are white streaks running down the bottom paint. Actually this is Brand New Micron Multi Season Bottom paint that has never been in the water. It will go back to blue when in the water. Plus, there is a new gallon of Interlux Micron paint that will go with the boat.
Then take a look at all of the other peripherals of detail that the owner has added. He replaced the outboard bracket with a high quality, strong spring assist, bracket with a non-wood support and added an additional backing plate for a very secure/strong assembly. Then he made a custom holding assembly for the telescopic transom ladder (again no wood to refinish or replace) that is clean and efficient. And then see the ladder that he made for the portside forward assist for getting up on the boat from the ground when the boat is on the trailer. And, last but not least, see the transom support for holding the mast while trailering.
All the above just adds to the nifty aspect of this particular Hunter 23.
Next notice that this Hunter 23 has a "TANDEM" axle trailer rather than the normal single axle that normally comes with a Hunter 23. This virtually eliminates sway going down the highway and gives one that margin of safety incase of a flat tire. And then notice that the bunks are adjustable that allows for lowering one side at a time to assist in doing bottom paint or other work without having to off load the boat from the trailer. Complete with a swivel tongue jack, you'll notice that the owner has replaced the webbing on the bow stand winch within the last 2 years. And yes, the owner is a Pofessional Engineer - - that might explain something !
Last but not least rather than having a 2 stroke 4 hp outboard, THIS HUNTER 23 sports a 2011 6 Hp Yamaha long shaft that is, again, above the curve.
So if you are in the chase of a 23' sailboat that is better than most you will find, you will need to strongly consider THIS HUNTER 23.
Happy to help with any aspect of this purchase and can assist with going through the rigging and then helping you with any questions you might have for seasons to come as your First sailboat from Rooke Sails.
Good chance there will be another ! ! AND TO TOP THAT ALL OFF, being Motivated to sell we have just lowered the price from 7,750.00 down to only 6,750.00 ! !
