Except for prolonged cloudy weather, the solar panels run the fridge, lighting, and nav system with no outside power required. At cruise RPM the high-output alternator will recharge and balance the batteries in an hour or two. We have found during most of our cruising that we run the engine enough to very rarely need the engine for charging only.

good – starts well, running smoothly, no leaks.
