2005 Hinckley Yachts Picnic Boat EPSold

This Hinckley Picnic Boat EP is a well preserved version of the iconic Extended Pilothouse model.

The EP was a direct development from the original Picnic Boat to offer more pilothouse volume while refining the interior and modernizing the exterior cockpit spaces.

Elegant build options include varnished teak package, air conditioning, and a winter '24-'25 yard period has updated the cosmetics and mechanicals of this clean Picnic Boat EP.

Recent work / improvements:  New Flag Blue topside paint, Yanmar 1,000 service, Jet service and Jet Stick calibration, recovered Stidd chair, fresh varnish, fresh bottom paint, New Hamilton Jet intake grate.

Hull construction is Kevlar E-glass hybrid outer skin, with balsa and Corecell core, carbon fiber innerskin, resin-infused SCRIMP system with vinylester resin.

Deck and cockpit is E-glass with balsa and Corecell core, SCRIMP system with polyester resin.

Topsides are painted with Flag Blue Awlgrip, NEW 2025.

Deck and cockpit are Hinckley cream colored gelcoat with molded non-skid.

Awlgrip Cream bootstripe NEW 2025 complements the deck; the bottom is green, NEW 2025.

Exterior teak is newly varnished, including toe rail, eyebrow, handrails, cockpit coaming, cockpit bar top, plus varnished wood package in the pilothouse.

The swim platform is fiberglass with stainless steel brackets and teak treads inset.

Stidd helm chairs port and starboard allow for driver and companion to be facing forward and comfortable while underway.

Additional seating in the pilothouse provides protected seating while underway.  The forward facing aft bench and the centerline aft-facing seat provide additional seating while relaxing outside.

High gloss varnished head countertop.

Freshwaer flush Vacuflush toilet.

Machinery space is clean and well thought out.

The enclosed pilothouse of the EP offers excellent protected seating while underway or at rest.

Helm Stidd seat to port and companion Stidd seat to starboard.

The L-shaped settee just aft to port is comfortable for socializing while still being under the protection of the extended housetop.  The high gloss varnished table is notable in it's quality construction and finish.

The aft cockpit provides outdoor seating on the aft bench as well as the centerline rear facing engine box seat.

Stepping down through the companionway brings you into the cozy interior.

Galley to port with Corian countertop, top opening fridge, stainless steel sink with hot / cold pressure water, two burner cooktop with plenty of dry storage.

Across to starboard is the head compartment with high gloss varnished countertop, ceramic sink, pull out sink faucet, fresh water Vacuflush toilet.

The Vberth is forward with lockers, storage, reading lights and an overhead hatch for natural light and ventilation.
