Accommodations 
Sleeps Five in two cabins. Foward stateroom has "V" berths with a seat between, adaptor to double berth , hanging locker, bureau and bookshelves, Head is next aft to port with hot shower, SS sink. The main salon has a U shaped dinette arrangement to port which drops down to double berth . There are two custom seats with liquor cabinet between starboard along with a Single berth The galley is to port of the companionway , gimballed Shipmate 3 burner stove w/ oven,  SS sink , hot & cold pressure water and salt water hand pump. Refrigeration is to starboard combined with navigation station.   


Hull 
The Bermuda 40 has a hand-laid solid fiberglass hull that is molded in one piece. The exterior skin is a layer of 1 1/2oz mat and unidirectional glass with vinylester resin. 
The 6500 lb external lead ballast was cast at the Hinckley yard with 3% antimonial lead and secured to the hull with 1" silicon bronze bolts. The foil-shaped centerboard is a single casting of solid bronze, and is controlled by a hydraulic driven worm gear.

Deck 
Teak Decks .Deckhouse and cockpit are molded in one piece with integral fiberglass and cored with 3/4" cross linked closed cell PVC foam? Deck scuppers are recessed with outlets at the boottop. The deck is bonded with fiberglass to a 6" hull flange and through-bolted with the toe-rail fasteners on 8" centers. All deck trim, hatches, rails,and coamings are varnished teak. Main and foward hatches are Hinckley built of teak and translucent plexiglass.
