The Herreshoff 12-1/2' DAISY ex. NORMANDIE offers up the perfect chance to own a "ready to sail" iconic classic boat and the opportunity to be the third owner of an 86 year old treasure. The 12-1/2 was designed to help children learn how to sail on the tricky waters of Buzzards Bay and has proven itself to be the perfect day sailing boat. With plenty of room for the entire family, the 12-1/2 offers a great opportunity to enjoy a day on the water.
DAISY is a remarkable example of what proper care for an old wooden boat and how that can extend their usable sailing life. Cared for in the past by Ballentine's Boat Shop and Quissett Harbor Boatyard and most recently East Passage Boatwrights with the current owner. Over the winter of 2024/25, all of the brightwork on the boat was stripped to bare wood and 10 coats of new varnish was applied. There was also an addition of an over the side Torqeedo Electric motor.
DAISY also comes with a galvanized Triade float on/off trailer, making it easy to launch and haul the boat yourself. DAISY is ready to go sailing!
