JUPITER is a distinctive cold-molded vessel that dreams are made of.
L. Francis Herreshoff's Rozinante, modified by Doug Hylan with 12" increased beam and the mizzen moved aft, out of the cockpit.
The design and construction elements shine in this breathtaking canoe-yawl. First launched in 2012 in Westport, MA by William Hampton, this modified Rozinante maintains the amazing sailing characteristics of the original Herreshoff design while increasing cockpit space and interior comfort.
Hull is 3/4" bead and cove Spanish Cedar strip planked
Hull is overlayed with 2 layers of 6 oz fiberglass cloth in WEST System epoxy (and 6 layers on both stems)
Topsdies are painted Awlgrip white

Carpentry, both the inside and outside of the cabin sides are book matched. The inside is ribbon stripped sapele and the outside is straight grain sapele.
The hatch is stunning ribbon striped sapele.
Interior bulkhead is bookmatched eastern red cedar, cockpit kick panels are raised mahogany. All varnished.
