Long time owner has purchased a large Henreques, Overall very clean and well maintained kept in fresh water basin since owned on the Connecticut River. Note Additional Information.
Introduced in 1994, the Henriques 28 is a tough, no-nonsense express whose conservative lines mask her sturdy construction and proven fishability. Hull construction is solid fiberglass and her modified-V bottom has long been noted for a smooth and stable ride. The big cockpit of the Henriques 28 is fitted with a transom fish box/livewell, transom door, under-gunnel rod storage, rod holders and molded steps at the corners. A fish box and a bait- rigging station are located forward along with tackle lockers and a saltwater washdown. Twin bench seats with stowage under flank the bridge deck and the sole lifts for access to the motors. The cabin accommodations are basic with a V-berth/dinette forward,
a small galley area, and a stand-up head compartment with hand- held shower. Note that the exhausts are channeled out through the trim tabs to reduce cockpit fumes. Standard features include an aluminum tower with hardtop and controls, Panish engine controls, electric head, and recessed trim tabs. Among several engine options, a single 300hp Cummins diesel will cruise at 20 knots. More recent models with 200hp Yanmars cruise in the mid 20s (30+ top).
