Vessel Was Outfitted For a Voyage To Alaska And Owner Has A Change Of Plans!
The Hatteras 53 Convertible was considered the standard of what a large sportfisher should be and all others aspired to achieve that level of respect but never quite reached that plateau. To this day, the 53 Hatteras is admired and sought after.
She is powered by Twin 8V71TI Detroit Diesels, Completely Majored in 2002 with Low hours. The test of time has revealed that the 8V71TIs are preferred over the 12V71TIs that most of these magnificent vessels were powered by.
Slower but far more economical and easier to work around in the engine compartment than the 1271's.
