Construction

Hanse is a high quality production yacht and the 470e hull is unique in the Hanse line in that it's a prepreg epoxy e glass laminate with corecell hard foam core, oven post cured. Bulkheads are glassed, not glued, to both the hull and deck, for a quiet, stiff interior. All high loads, such as the keel, mast step and chainplates, are carried by a massive galvanized steel structure.

 

Sails & Rigging

She is set up for fast, easy shorthanded sailing. The helmsman has easy access to all winches, halyards, sheets and furling lines, with no need to go forward. The self tacking jib makes daysailing shorthanded more enjoyable.

Interior

This Hanse 470e has the optional Cherry Interior with light laminate floors. Forward is a large owners cabin (A1 Hanse version). The are 2 fixed hull ports and opening hatches. There is a large storage locker under the berth, and there are additional storage lockers forward of the berth, and a large wardrobe and desk on the starboard side. Additional cabinets to port and starboard sides. On the port side is the owners head compartment, with sink, shower and a head. An opening hatch provides light and ventilation.

The main salon features the optional settee/sofa to starboard (B2 interior). There are 2 fixed hull ports, 3 large cabin house ports, and 2 flush mount hatches overhead. The aft section rolls out for dining, and 2 of the chairs have pull out foot rests and can recline. The starboard settee features gas assist lift up cushions, with extensive stowage underneath. The table includes a custom vertical SS handhold and bottle storage inside. Aft of the port settee is the Nav station with table and the 12 volt panel above and a 110 volt panel below.

The galley aft to starboard has extensive stowage in upper and lower lockers, a 2 burner SS stove / oven and a 12 volt Isotherm fridge w top and side access. Double sinks and an overhead opening port round out the galley.

Across from the galley is the aft head, which has a toilet w SS holding tank, Sink w black corian countertops, and stall shower. There is a large fixed port and an opening port. The mirror image aft cabins feature lots of light from hull and large opening cockpit ports, an opening port in the cabin house and a cabin top hatch, along with 3 large storage lockers and a hanging wardrobe per side.
