The Gulf Stream Yachts 42 SUV features a revolutionary design that gives you the flexibility to perform a wide variety of activities with a single boat. The advanced hull by Michael Peters Yacht Design uses the patented Stepped "V" Ventilated Tunnel (SVVT) hull technology to introduce a cushion of air under a portion of the running surface that increases speed and fuel efficiency while also maintaining control and stability. And the modular construction provides the ability to easily change the vessel's configuration in ways you could never do with an ordinary boat.

The 42 SUV comes fully equipped as a serious fishing machine with two rows of comfortable seating, a bait prep station with livewell, multiple tackle drawers, and two massive side tuna / dive doors. There's also an option for one or two more huge livewells in the transom. There is room for an almost unlimited number of rod holders on the top of the gunnels and up to 20 vertical rod holders integrated into the side of the sunpad.

The second row leaning post can be completely removed to create an absolutely massive cockpit. Next, you can insert one or two of the removable carbon fiber davits into the sockets conveniently integrated into the transom bulkhead. These folding cranes have a 2,000 pound capacity each so you can easily lift whatever cargo you need to haul in and out of the boat. There are numerous tie-down points throughout the cockpit area to help you secure your payload and there are even removable bunks that enable you to transport two waverunners within the space.

The cabin inside of the center console includes a head, a sink, a refrigerator, and a single berth. There is an optional DC air-conditioner available.

The Gulf Stream Yachts 42 SUV serves especially well as a yacht tender because you can use it for all of the recreational activities you can imagine whenever you have guests aboard. You can also take advantage of the cargo carrying capabilities to load up all of the supplies and equipment that you need in order to create the ultimate excursion on a remote island for your guests or to transport provisions from the mainland to the mothership.

The 42 is completely customizable so we can also tailor it to whatever other configuration you might want such as a traditional center console boat with a tuna tower, a wide open boat, or even a landing craft.
