Accommodations

Enter the main salon from either the starboard or port cabin doors.  The salon L settee, upholstered in Hunter Green ultra suede, is aft to starboard, and opposite is another settee just forward of a teak entertainment cabinet.  There is a beautiful oval shaped teak dining/cocktail table in front of the L settee.  Forward of the straight port settee, with the port door between, is the L shaped galley.  The standard configuration of the 42 is a straight galley, but an option which Rambler has, is an L-extension to accommodate another fridge/freezer.  Opposite to starboard is the well equipped helm station with a dry bar aft.

Down three steps aft from the salon leads to the master stateroom with its queen island berth, desk, drawers, hanging locker, and a split head, with the shower to starboard and the head and sink to port.  There are windows surrounding the stateroom, and a door to the aft deck providing another exit or simply in most cases light and ventilation.

Take the three steps down at the forward end of the salon into the ample guest cabin with a huge hanging locker to port and a very large wet head to starboard.  It is built with an oversized v-berth, plenty of drawer storage below, and a large overhead hatch.

Reverse cycle air conditioning, curtains, and teak parquet sole throughout the interior.

Outside to port is a step onto the deck above the master stateroom.  Here is the dinghy storage and outboard.  Up two more steps takes you to the flybridge.  At the aft end of the flybridge area is a mast and boom for lowering the dinghy (re-Awlgripped recently). Forward on the flybridge is the helm to port, and twin bench seats for the helm and companions.  Aft of the bench seating and to starboard is a comfortable L settee and two folding chairs.  There is also a beautiful teak grate table in front of the settee.  The entire area is protected from sun and rain by an extended bimini.

The L-extension in the galley makes room for a refrigerator on the forward part of the L and a freezer on the aft outboard side.
