A Proven Leader in Pacific Northwest Cruising
For decades, Deception has been the trusted flagship of NW Explorations' renowned Mother Goose Flotillas. Serving as the lead vessel on countless journeys through Southeast Alaska, this 49' Grand Banks Classic has proven itself as a reliable, capable, and comfortable platform for extended cruising in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Designed with the traditional craftsmanship that has made Grand Banks a timeless name, Deception features the spacious three-stateroom layout the Classic is known for. During flotilla season, she comfortably housed a professional crew of three-a captain, marine service technician, and naturalist-showcasing her ability to serve as both a working vessel and a floating home.
Powered by twin diesels and built on the solid fiberglass displacement hull Grand Banks is famous for, this vessel offers the seaworthiness and dependability long-range cruisers demand. Her wide side decks, covered aft deck, and generous flybridge provide safe passage underway and ideal spaces for entertaining or simply enjoying the view.
While she has served as a hardworking member of our charter fleet, Deception has been cared for with the diligent maintenance program NW Explorations applies to all its vessels. She is now ready for her next chapter with a new owner-whether that's extended passagemaking, exploring remote anchorages, or serving as a comfortable liveaboard.
NW Explorations is proud of the history this yacht represents and sad to see her go, but confident that her next owners will benefit from her proven pedigree. Few yachts on the market today come with such a track record of service and adventure.
