Vessel Walkthrough
Grand Banks hit all the marks with this 2011 Eastbay 46 SX. Classic styling, robust build and strong sea capabilities coupled with good performance while still featuring all the comforts one would expect from a high end yacht.
Step aboard Vision Quest and you instantly appreciate her build quality. The cockpit has a solid teak sole with bench seating fore and aft. You can access the large teak swim platform through the port transom door. The Freedom Lift for the Zodiac tender allows you to walk on the swim platform to board the boat, handle the tender or secure a dock line. There is a custom cockpit cover with a rigid frame that allows you to enjoy the outside without baking in the sun or getting wet in the rain. At night you can enjoy the evening with the subtle glow from the LED rope lights mounted under the cockpit coaming and the 6 color changing underwater lights that wrap the cockpit.
Walk inside the salon door and you find a comfortable salon with ultra leather settees to port and starboard. You can entertain a large group on this boat. The U shaped port settee has a custom hi-lo table. Just forward of the port settee there is cabinet that houses a Samsung flatscreen TV that pops up with a push of button. If you like fresh air you are in luck. The center windshield section opens with an electric actuator, the salon side windows slide open, 2 large stainless hatches with screens overhead and aft of the port settee the salon/cockpit glass will disappear allowing open access to the cockpit.
Forward of the salon on the same level you will find a large, forward facing companion bench seat to port opposite the helm. The helm with its Stidd chair is a captain's dream. Well designed and with all the necessary high end electronics, it won't disappoint.
Down 4 steps there is a well appointed galley to port. The steps you just walked down lift up and provides entry to a large utility room that includes a Splendid washer/dryer combo unit, additional refrigerant units and lots of storage. Continue forward and you will come upon the guest stateroom to starboard w/ twin berths. The guest/day head is just forward of the guest stateroom with doors to the hallway and guest stateroom. At the end of the hall is the master with its queen size centerline pedestal berth. Plenty of storage with drawers and hanging lockers to port and starboard. The master has an ensuite head with separate stall shower.
Vision Quest is not just a pretty face. She is a typical Grand Banks battlewagon with all the systems serious cruisers have come to expect. Cruise comfortably at 20 knots. Great visibility coupled with her Cummins Zeus pods and optional bow thruster make docking stress free.
