The Grand Banks 46 Classic is the perfect size for many cruising families. She offers plenty of interior space, and yet remains easily manageable for a crew of two. The 46 is available with a number of interior layouts: two forward staterooms or a galley-down version with one forward stateroom - providing extra space in the main saloon. Running the boat from the flybridge, the captain has superb visibility and total command of the ship thanks to the carefully planned steering and navigational area. Wide, walk-around decks and aft cockpit allow for the crew's safe, secure movement while at sea and during docking. In the large cockpit lazarette, in the seat lockers, on the aft cabin roof, and in the forward deck locker, are places for fenders, cleaning supplies, a dinghy, an outboard motor, power cables, dock lines, and more. In the saloon, comfortable seat lockers and a built-in teak table create a friendly and secure atmosphere underway or at anchor. The main saloon offers a panoramic view. An inside steering and navigational station provides a comfortable, dry haven for the helmsperson. The large owner's aft cabin can be arranged either with two seagoing berths or with a walkaround, queen-sized bed. The engine room, with over five-feet of headroom, has ample space for the generator, refrigeration compressor, and optional air conditioning equipment. Many owners have installed water makers, inverters, extra generators and other optional accessories in the large, well thought-out engine room. Several engine options are available from an economical single engine installation to twin turbocharged diesels. Cruising speeds range from 8 to 14 knots with top speeds to 18 knots.

Galley down to port, guest/day head with large stall shower and electric head opposite. Opening hatches overhead in galley and head provide natural light and ventilation. Up three steps to a wide, roomy salon. Large windows make salon bright and airy. Side doors port and starboard provide convenient access to the wide, walkaround side decks. Lower helm station with full instrumentation to starboard, breakfast bar and two stools forward to port. Dry bar with ice maker, bottle and glass storage immediately aft of built-in, upholstered helm seat. L-Shaped settee aft to starboard with yacht table facing. Entertainment center opposite along port bulkhead flanked by two arm chairs. Custom access panels in salon sole provide easy access to engine room. From salon down and aft three steps to master stateroom. Master features walkaround queen berth. En-Suite head with stall shower, vanity, sink, and Vac-U-Flush head to port. Doors and ladder in aft bulkhead provide direct access to cockpit. Sliding windows are found on the port, starboard and aft bulkheads as well as in the head shower compartment. Spacious flybridge features helm to starboard, padded back-to-back bench seating and L-Shaped settee with Teak serving table aft to starboard. Generous drawer and hanging locker storage throughout, including a deep lazarette. Beautiful Teak parquet sole throughout. Legendary Grand Banks fit and finish.
