Berto is a 1984 Grand Banks 42 Classic, with low engine hours, built with a solid fiberglass hull and superstructure, the GB 42 Classic was designed and built for safety, stability, and long-lasting quality on the water. What also sets Berto apart from other GB 42s of the same vintage is the condition of the interior and accommodations. The teak parquet cabin sole and all the interior teak joinery are in good condition. There are updated appliances in the galley and new electric toilets in both heads. New memory foam mattresses on both aft berths and new cushions with new upholstery throughout the saloon and in the V-berth show the owner's attention to comfort and liveability. The owner has also invested in new cushions for the flybridge seating. See the Upgrades list for other recent improvements made on this vessel.

The large "L" shaped settee to starboard is upholstered in Navy Blue Canvas with a large drop-leaf teak yacht table. On the port side of the saloon is a large sub-zero freezer with a countertop above. This space is ideal for expanding the galley by putting the microwave oven and coffee maker on top or a custom stereo cabinet could be built here. There is a settee on the port side, also with new Navy Blue canvas upholstery. There is a 16,000 BTU reverse cycle air conditioning system for the saloon. Overhead lighting is 12v.
