225 Tournament Features & Benefits

The dual console Grady-White Tournament 225 disproves that there is any compromise in buying a fishing boat for family fun or vice versa. Grady-White has created the best of both worlds in the 2003 Tournament 225. Inside the port console, the roomy enclosed head features a corner door design ensuring that people can easily get in and out. The enclosure is complete with net storage for beach items and water toys. For fishing tackle enthusiasts, the head space doubles as a super-sized lockable storage area that keeps valuable gear out of sight. Grady-White also learned how much boaters wanted a spacious and comfortable bow area, so the Tournament 225 features a large bow seating area with cushioned seats for cruising (under the cushions at starboard is an insulated, overboard-draining 52-quart ice box for drinks and snacks), and an optional sun platform cushioned insert becomes a nice sundeck. At the same time, this bow area is comfortably usable for fishermen, too. There are fishing day amenities from the roomy anchor locker forward to the Grady Drive outboard bracket on the stern. The starboard console offers large, lockable tackle drawers just forward of the helm area, which also features a protected, lockable electronics box. The 50-square-foot cockpit provides plenty of area for fish fighting or rigging. Horizontal racks hold six rods, and the gunwale is equipped with four Grady-White quality rod holders positioned perfectly for trolling. Plus, the transom is equipped with a super-size 175-quart insulated fish box. The superb offshore capabilities of the Tournament 225 stem from Grady-White’s exclusive variable vee SeaV 2 hull that provides a great ride and stability at any speed, and undoubtedly is an added level of confidence. Abundant storage areas include an insulated forward bow seat compartment, a starboard console with a lockable storage compartment, and an optional port sleeper seat with a nice, easy-access storage area underneath.
