Owners Comments

Previous owners kept the vessel on a private dock in Fort Lauderdale for 12 years, heading yearly across the Gulfstream to the Bahamas. Previous owner replaced standing rigging winter 2020/2021 and transferred ownership to us in Feb 2021.  The swage portion was done by St Pete riggers and the rest was installed using Staylock. Under agreement, previous owner brought the vessel to Deltaville, VA in Mar-April 2021 where it stayed on hard until Spring 2022.  In the meantime, the 2 hulls were sanded to original Gelcoat and Epoxy barrier coating and new bottom paint were performed. She was splashed again in May 2022 and brought North to Lake Champlain (Plattsburgh, NY) thru offshore passage from Norfolk, VA to NY. Summer 2022 and 2023 were spent smooth sailing on Lake Champlain, where the following were completed: Watermaker, Autopilot, additional 300W of solar panel with 2 MPPT Renogy 30 AMP controller with Bluetooth, 2000W inverter, NMEA Wi Fi and anchor upgraded, most of the running rigging and the lazy bag were replaced. Sail drive epoxy touch up were performed as well as all lubrification fluids replaced. The vessel was brought back south from Oct to Dec 2023, thru the Champlain Canal where the mast was un-stepped and stepped again, 3 offshore passages were performed, NY to Norfolk, VA with a stop in Cape May, NJ, Cape Fear River, NC to Charleston, SC and finally Charleston, SC to Cumberland Island, GA.  Ninou proved to be reliable, stable, fairly fast and comfortable on passage, we used both sail and engine as we faced conditions of wind of anything from 0 to 35 knots (following).  We surfed at 11 knots a few times in 8 to 10ft seas.  Thru our sailing we realized that Ninou will go a bit faster that half the wind speed to 8 to 8.5 knots and can point to windward between 45 and 50 degrees depending on sea conditions. After a rest in Vero beach on Dec 2023, the family stepped aboard, including a 3-month-old baby and a 100lb dog, for a once in a lifetime trip across the Gulfstream from West Palm to Great Harbor Cay. A trip that would bring our family all the way down to Hogs Cay south of the Exumas and back to the northern tips of the Abacos. After visiting the Exumas, Nassau, Spanish Wells and most of the Abaco's, we very much appreciated the safety and comfort at anchor that the catamaran motion and shoal draft characteristics provides as well as the 360 degree view from anywhere in the cockpit or saloon.  We had a small clothes washer on board with a freezer and plenty of storage and we never really missed anything form civilization (even with a newborn on board). We now have to sell since our baby is getting bigger and needs more than a “pristine beach” to reach full potential, but we will be back and we would gladly go back on Ninou. We lived aboard full time Sept 2023 to April 2024 (except a short break in December to help commuting our new born to Vero Beach)   Main improvement / upgrade:   Rigging (done by previous owner in Jan 2021) Auto pilot Raymarine Lazy bag Petite protect (interprotect) and anti-fouling Inverter 2000w Solar panel 500w 2 solar panel controllers Anchor Mantus 55lbs Watermaker Spectra All lines changed NMEA WIFI system Upgraded aluminum double bottom RIB
