Extensive research, years of development, and obsessive fine tuning has produced one of the most efficient semi-displacement hulls on the water for the Fleming 85. In addition to the hull design, extra attention was applied to the optimum strength to weight ratio of the structure. The robust, overbuilt construction methods expected on a Fleming Yacht are retained and achieved with less total weight – all of which is verified by DNV Maritime. The result is a hull that has been engineered to achieve industry leading fuel economy and world-class range at a size that can accommodate any adventure.

The maximum beam of 21’2” on the Fleming 85 features minimal tapering to aft compared to the Fleming 78, giving the vessel greater width throughout the salon, cockpit, and crew quarters. This added space presents the opportunity for creative new options including a stunning California deck design within the cockpit. With a large built-in settee and mounted table, this arrangement feels like a natural alfresco extension of the salon. Engine room and crew access resides to starboard at the California deck. Down below is the fully stand-up engine room and spacious crew quarters that can accommodate two separate multi-berth cabins, a head, a full kitchenette, and even dedicated crew dining or a laundry area.

Solar panels above the hardtop top off the ship’s standard lithium-ion batteries, which in turn power the at-rest stabilization of the Humphree fins. Operating the twin MAN V12 – 1550 hp engines of the Fleming 85 has never been easier. In addition to the helm stations, the vessel features another five well-located docking stations equipped with joystick controls and position hold.
