These boats feature beautiful traditional lines and exquisite woodworking details. The Pocasset has an exceptionally shallow draft - only 15 inches - with the engine up. The boat also has a very efficient hull, reaching a speed of 30 mph with just a 140-hp Suzuki outboard, giving her an impressive range of 150 miles. The Downeast-style pilot house provides excellent protection from the elements, including windshield wipers to deal with any spray in rough weather, or rain.
Blue Heron is the perfect boat for Cape Cod's shallow waters, enabling you to get right up to the beach for anchoring.
Some Pocasset options that Blue Heron comes equipped with already include classic bronze hardware throughout. She also has a pair of Yeti coolers with custom cushions to add extra seating, allowing her to comfortably seat up to 8 people on board. There is a flushable head with holding tank in the cabin. The cabin provides two comfortable berths at 6' 5" long. Blue Heron in currently located in an indoor storage building at First Light Boatworks in Chatham.
