The 2001 FARR 395, Ace, is a turnkey racing program that can convert to a fast cruiser. She has a long history of winning races in the Northwest, and the sail inventory is ready for the coming season. The bottom was sprayed and burnished with Baltoplate in 2023. Everything you want in a race boat is here and ready to go for 2026.
When you aren't on the racecourse the boat can be setup for cruising. The racing head foil is replaced with a roller furling jib. The lightweight cooktop is swapped out for a stove/oven combo. There are even storage boxes that get added to the cockpit for additional seating.
The owners of Ace have been meticulous with their maintenance, and she looks like a much newer boat.

- 3 blade Max Prop
- Wallace diesel heater
- Raymarine auto pilot
- New head and 11 gallon holding tank

In 2008, Ace was extensively overhauled to correct issues with the hull as built by Carroll Marine. The exterior skin and balsa core from waterline to centerline were removed along with the through hulls. The inner skin was re-laminated and re-cored with balsa, then covered with glass and vacuum bagged. The work was completed at Waterline Systems per Farr International specifications. The bottom was then faired and coated with Interprotect 2000 barrier coat. The open transom and wheel modification were done at the same time. This corrected the wet core issues of other Farr 395's. At a haul out in 2024 the hull was tapped by a local surveyor and no water issues were found. This is the one Farr 395 to have this modification done and likely the best Farr 395 in the world.
