2001 Farr 395Sold

Built in 2001 at Carroll Marine, as a 39.5� One-Design Racer/Cruiser.

A hull survey was done fall of 2022.

Although hull # 12 was never really cruised it was very actively raced every year since it was delivered.

The Farr 395 was Sailing World�s Boat of the Year 2002

Heavily modified several times over the last two decades to be optimized for racing performance. Originally it had an 8� extendable sprit. This was glassed over about ten years ago after it became apparent that the one-design class wasn�t going to be viable.

Water was discovered in the core at about this time and was aggressively mitigated to the extent that it resulted in a whole, brand-new bottom with an epoxy finish.

As of 2020 a new carbon fiber 4� spritlet was installed

At age 21 Scherherazade still has a winning record with PHRF and ORR-ez ratings in Class A

• First place in the Ted Hood Regatta ââ?¬â?? 2014 through 2018 & 2020
• First place in the Constitution Yacht Club Wednesday Night Series ââ?¬â?? 2017 through 2019 & 2022

And many other wins in regattas too numerous to mention prior to the years cited above.
