1982 Falmouth Cutter 22

Lyle Hess, was asked by Lynn and Larry Pardey to design a smaller version of his famous Renegade, based on the British Falmouth work boat. Larry built it, named it Seraffyn, and the rest is history. In 1980 Sam Morse produced Lyle's design out of fiberglass and had the Cape George Marine Works in Port Townsend Washington build it. Forty examples were produced, and Jasmine is of hull #29, it was delivered as a full factory built example. It was a late 1982 build and hence the hull ID number showing 82, but sold as a 1983 model. Though only 22' on deck, as Lynn and Larry could attest, these are true Blue water capable cruising boats with hull thickness more than Island Packet.

Jasmine has been kept in immaculate condition by it's present owner of 25 years. He has upgrade the head to the English Lavac, with gravity dump holding tank. It sports a Garmin GPSMAP 742 Chartplotter. Hauled for bottom maintenance Feb 2026 and applied 2 1/2 coats of Trinidad hard bottom paint on top of 15 coats of barrier coat epoxy. while out he fitted a new bowsprit, coated with two coats of West System epoxy and painted white, and installed all new Groco seacocks, finally the bright work, that really sets these boat off from the rest, was refinished with five coats of Cetol.

Age has now caught up with him and he says it is time to turn over the reins and let another loving family continue on the tradition of this truly classic sailboat.
