"Solaire" is a one of kind iconic Ericson 39. Heavily over invested; owner loss is your gain. Built in 1972 but totally rebuilt over a 7 year period (2012-2019) to a high standard. She is a fantastic sailing vessel achieving boat speeds of 6-8 knots with wind above 10 knots. She is fully outfitted for cruising and/or racing. All systems were serviced in early 2023. Recently cruised the Bahamas and is now in storage on the hard in Fernandina Beach, FL. She's ready to step aboard and sail away.
For a buyer with a mind set on a greener experience, Solaire has plenty to offer. First, Ericson 39 Flushdecks are purebred offshore sailing machines. Prior owners completely redid the boat from the hull up inside, including removing the prior existing diesel propulsion motor and replaced it with electric propulsion with impressive run time. Additionally, they upgraded to generator and configured to boat to be able to be propelled in fuel-stingy diesel-electric mode.
Nearly every system on the boat was replaced and upgraded during the refit. The boat's systems have many years of use remaining. Despite the year of construction of the hull, this is not an old boat. Solaire has a classic hull with an impressive pedigree, refreshed with up-to-date systems and upgrades for adventuring around the globe.
