A Classic Vessel Enhanced for Modern Adventures!
This Custom 1952 Troller/Cruiser, designed by Frank Fredette was originally launched as a fishing troller to the specific requests of John Nicholson (Nicholson Boatworks, Victoria, BC) for his personal use. She stands as a testament to robust build quality, elegant lines, and the timeless appeal of wooden hulls. In 2023/2024, the boat underwent a comprehensive upgrade and a meticulous refit, breathing new life into her historic frame while seamlessly blending heritage with contemporary comforts.
* Highlights of the extensive work:
~ Professionally designed and constructed, partially enclosed, aft seating bench and entertainment area.
~ Custom swim step.
~ Extension of the salon cabin, converting a portion of the fish hold into a custom head with an electric freshwater macerating toilet, custom sink and cabinet, a fiberglass walk-in shower and electric heat.
~ Galley refit with additional storage cabinets, quartz countertops, Isotherm refrigerator/freezer and microwave.
~ Complete water system upgrade: all plumbing, two (2) polyurethane tanks (45 gals each), six (6) gallon hot water tank and water pump.
~ Pilothouse sole raised nine (9) inches.
~ Complete rewire and upgrades to the entire electrical system.
~ Garmin Navigation suite and safety systems upgraded.
The boat is powered by a single Gardner 6LW diesel engine with dry exhaust. A premium engine that purrs.
Thanks to the 2023/2024 refit, this Custom 1952 Troller/Cruiser is ready for a wide range of adventures-from leisurely day trips and sunset cruises to extended coastal voyages. She is a head-turner at the marina, a capable passage maker, and ready to create new memories for decades to come.
